This is a management role, but the individual will need to be hands-on with their technical skills.Work schedule: 5 days a week (typically Mon thru Fri).As a Manager of Software Engineering at LeadVenture, you will be leading a talented and experienced group of engineers. You will work closely with technical Team Leads, Product Managers, and management to ensure that your teams' work creates raving fans. You will need to earn respect for your technical chops and your leadership. You should be comfortable working with geographically distributed teams and understand the nuances of being a team player. The groups may include software engineers, test automation engineers, and QA analysts, among other roles.- Work closely with product management to establish priorities and release schedules. You are expected to promote a team mentality of being innovative in solutions, deadline-driven, ensuring the highest quality and meeting set budgets.- Provide technical direction and leadership for the teams, constantly looking for opportunities to innovate.- You will lead by example in best practices for software design and quality. You will stay current with tools and technologies to seek out the best needed for the job. While.Net is our predominant language, we also use a range of other technologies.- Be able to build plans that include cost/risk analysis, staffing, resources, and budgetary estimates.- Be responsible for growing the team's skills through training and knowledge sharing.
