Business Unit Job Summary:POSITION SUMMARYThe Manager, VAVE & Sustaining Engineering will lead a team of engineers in a production environment.
The team's primary purpose is to support the manufacturing lines for each product line as well as identify potential VAVE opportunities.RESPONSIBILITIESWork with management to set and track team KPIs, metrics, and team capacity.Track team health, performance and workload.Perform VAVE analysis to identify areas of high cost or waste and eliminate them.Work with manager and cross functional teams to resolve roadblocks and improve performance.Review individual team member's performance and provide improvement feedback.Train and onboard new team members as necessary.Investigate product and process related issues and fix them internally or delegate the corrections to the appropriate teams.Be the product knowledge expert to support manufacturing for FAI and/or prototype builds.QUALIFICATIONSMust be fluent in both English and Spanish in reading, writing and speaking.Must be detail oriented, have good planning and organization, and communication skills.Proven ability to manage a team of engineers.Ability to problem solve unique issues quickly.Knowledgeable on 3-phase transformers, power conversion and calculations.Knowledgeable on 3-phase UPS and Power Switching & Distribution Products.Knowledgeable on circuit breakers, relays, batteries and circuit monitoring equipment.Knowledgeable on NEC requirements such as wire and cable sizing, bend radius, conduit sizing, and derates.Proven ability to read and/or redline schematics and single line diagrams.Proven experience working with PLM systems (BOM and Engineering Change Order management).Proven experience working with Solidedge, Creo or similar 3D CAD software.Preferred experience with Model Based Design Manufacturing.Preferred experience with UL requirements.Preferred experience working in a manufacturing environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
