Overview The Managing Director of Mexico in our Home Care Industrial Business Unit at Graham Packaging will act as the General Manager for our operations in the region leading 4 plants and a team of 11 direct and dotted line reports.
This role reports to the Business Unit (BU) President and has responsibility for strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial management, and driving the company's commercial growth and success within Mexico.
The Managing Director will ensure that all business goals are met, while adhering to company policies and procedures, and maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.
Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Leadership:Develop and implement business strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, embodying the Blue Culture values of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Lead our Mexico operations to achieve short-term and long-term business goals.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Operational Oversight:Provides visionary guidance and strategic direction across all operational domains in Mexico, encompassing Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost Efficiency, and Compliance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a culture of operational excellence and innovation.Ensure operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve performance.
Optimize team workflows and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.Financial Management:Develop and manage the annual budget for our Mexico operations.Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings.Team and Cultural Leadership:Lead a high-performing team to align their efforts with the company's vision, strategy, and Blue Culture.

Qualifications Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in packaging.Proven track record of successfully managing operations in Mexico or Latin America.Skills and Competencies:Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.Excellent financial acumen and understanding of budgeting and financial management.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Proficiency in Spanish and English is required.Personal Attributes:High level of integrity and ethical standards.Results-driven with a focus on achieving business objectives.Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
Compensation Statement The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States.
The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
