This role is responsible for supporting SAS EFM, a best-in-class transaction fraud detection/monitoring application for HSBC. The role location is in Mexico, but the team is geographically dispersed with other members in India, UK, and US, with regional teams located in Hong Kong and Mexico. Overall, the department has moved to an Agile/POD organization; this specific role is part of the Global Fraud Core platform POD.Job Characteristics and Responsibilities:Support the distributed SAS EFM environment on a distributed platform.Build/configuration of SAS EFM (Transaction Fraud Monitoring System) environment, ensuring initial setups are correct.Monitor/support the distributed environment and enhance our capabilities in this area.Provide SME level L3 support for the mid-tier environment when needed for production; this is a 24x7 requirement when staff member is scheduled, escalate issues to appropriate SMEs (US staff, ITID, vendor as necessary).Investigate issues to determine root cause and suggest/implement fixes.Plan and coordinate any infrastructure or application changes that are needed.Create/maintain a knowledge "log" of issues and how to resolve.Provide support for development, UAT environments for ongoing projects during agreed UK/US daytime hours.Perform cross-training (as directed by management) to department on base SAS EFM functions on how to support production mid-tier environment.Create/maintain programs to facilitate recycling of needed SAS EFM components in development/UAT to allow all department members to be more self-sufficient.Infrastructure build and support needed for scheduled projects.Responsible for builds to agreed schedule.Work with other PODs to support application changes.Install various software packages.Install/configure/manage Splunk.Install application hotfixes.Create needed scripts/jobs for batch, monitoring, rule deployments, and maintenance.Requirements for this Role:Collaborative, team-focused (willing to share information) with the ability to work with others (other POD members, other PODS, ITID teams, project managers, etc).Ability to lead and coordinate projects, tasks, and issue resolution.Articulate, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Technical Skills Required:10+ years of software development/deployment/support experience.10+ years of distributed Unix/Linux administration/support experience
