**Job Description**:
The manufacturing and technical functions engineer is responsible for planning, managing, implementing and maintaining manufacturing projects for electronic power steering gears.
The following key elements are part of the role:
**Project Management**
Managing of manufacturing projects (Acquisition, leading of supplier, technical leader) considering planning of project timing, budget and resources.
Support planning of the regional manufacturing project roadmap.
**Technical Functions**
Define, Acquire, Transfer, Accept, Validate, Release and install production process and equipment according to Bosch standards (Integrations on line, new projects, participate in QGCs, Design for manufacturing).
Process owner, developer and improver of manufacturing related processes.
**Manufacturing Engineer**
Monitor productivity and Imporove and stabilize Manufacturing KPIs (Technical Availability, Reject Rate, Scrap, Downtime, CPKs, Cycle time) Ensures proper resources are alerted and scheduled as required.
Support activities to address safety, quality and productivity for the assigned manufacturing line using tools such a 5-why, Shainin, 8D, 6 Sigma, DOE, 6S, SCIP, PDCA.
Support process-FMEA, frame and release, update.
Execute FMEA Line-walk and error simulation.
Coordination of the Implementation and further development of manufacturing technologies in the GB (across sites) and Active exchange of lessons learned (Complaints, Equipment, Processes,...) from other and to other Value Stream and IPN plants.
Execute the quality planning (Definition of test strategies, test methods, Verification of measure and test process qualification, test data management, Q-control cycle series production).
**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- University Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in same comparable position.
- Experience in project an supplier management, organizing and working in functional teams.
**Technical Skills**
- Solves problems across functions (Journeyman Certification complete)
- Advanced knowledge of specialized field (Functional Testing, Acoustic, Belt Tension, Plasma Cleaning, Cyber Security, Re-manufacturing, Reliability) - Data Analysis (Matlab)
- Knowledge of steering gears preferred
- Project management experience
- Microsoft Office and Power BI
- Mini Project Management skills (Demonstrates project management skills including planning, prioritizing and monitoring) - APIS IQ-RM - POKA - CAD System Design experience (prefered) - MTM (prefered)
- Siemens PLC Programming Language STEP7 & TIA (prefered)
