Tooling and Fixturing; for parts, subassemblies, and final assembly3. Error-proofing of responsible processes in the assembly of the A5- Primarily interface between the A5 production team and ICON's design engineers to improve the aircraft manufacturability, safety, cost, delivery, quality and lead time- Identify and implement solutions on the A5 production process using the following manufacturing best practices: lean/TPS tools and culture, six-sigma, global sourcing, rapid-prototyping, fixturing and error-proofing- The manufacturing engineering development includes:- Simplification of assembly processes on the production shop floor- Design and development of jigs, fixtures and tooling for product assembly- Supplier development and program management of appropriate component and sub-assembly suppliers- Design of assembly processes using lean methods, minimizing wasteful operations and maximizing value- Input into the development of accurate bill of material costing and cost reduction activities using DFM/DFA methods- Lead risk mitigation activities using techniques such as PFMEAs- Manage the development of capital equipment specifications, financial justification, purchasing, design, build, installation and run-off of the equipment- Root cause analysis of issues in production and assembly using a structured format- Lead the development of modified or alternative components, manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment required for the manufacture, assembly, and testing of the various components and sub-assemblies- Contribute to the new product introduction capability within ICON Aircraft to be best in class for deployment time to reliability, quality, and cost- Oversee the establishment of design constraints and supplier specifications- Maintain awareness of suppliers' latest technology and newest manufacturing approaches and provide guidance to manufacturing and product engineering for existing products**Experiência y requisitos**- 5+ years of directly applicable manufacturing engineering experience - Direct experience with new product introductions within the automotive, light aircraft or recreation (i.E
