.Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer.What you'll do:Position SummarySupport daily manufacturing operations as part of a high-performance cross-functional team.
Collect and analyze manufacturing data to improve processes related to safety, product quality, process efficiency, customer delivery, and cost reduction.
This role will also be responsible for the design and validation of new fixtures and tools for manufacturing processes and will provide shop floor support for operations.Position Responsibilities
- Determine manufacturing methods, machinery, and tools to produce parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Design fixtures, templates, and tooling for operations using 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Maintain control of machinery and tooling drawing revisions, as well as important manuals and documents.
- Recommend replacements and arrangements of equipment and facilities for a given area and maintain corresponding records.
- Plan and control the expenditures of annual facility programs covered in the respective area of responsibility and maintain applicable records.
- Support the definition and control of the production process, including tooling and equipment.
Validate design specifications and application in the workshop of new products, tools, or equipment.
- Oversee the development of work instructions for the process and define operating parameters to meet and exceed quality standards.
- Support the definition of maintenance and cleaning procedures.
- Safety responsibilities include safety and cleanliness objectives, following all safety rules and procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions to line management.
- Evaluate existing machinery, manufacturing equipment, tools, etc., for safety, capacity, capability, effectiveness, etc.
Develop detailed technical specifications for new equipment and manage capital projects.
- Provide training, guidance, and technical support to leaders, operators, and team members.
- Support the launch of Lean, Six Sigma, and Pro through the creation of process maps, standard work, takt times, potential failure modes and effects analysis, design of experiments, control plans, and job safety analysis for production lines.
- Work on the installation, commissioning, and tuning of new machines and processes.
- Develop continuous improvement ideas to enhance quality, performance, and business productivity.
- Implement robust manufacturing processes that ensure high-quality products.
- Contribute to the plant accreditation under ISO 9001 standards.#LI-KL1Qualifications:Required Education LevelBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, etc.)
from an accredited institution.Required Years and Area of Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Maintenance / Operations.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (Inventor or Solid Works).
- Experience in drawing review control
