Plan and execute improvement activities related to manufacturing. Maintain manufacturing systems and documentation. Support to production processes using engineering tools to improve productivity, reduce cost and increase safety.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet Policy Deployment objectives.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, PQIs, process control documentation, standard work instructions, etc ).
- Implement/coordinate engineering changes and new manufacturing/product releases (PPAP).
- Lead continuous improvement projects related to cycle time, defect cost, changeover time, ergonomics, etc.
- Coordinate modifications or improvement strategies for existing equipment and/or processes.
- Support problem solving and constant-improvement activities.
- Perform data analysis to identify and execute proactive I4.0 improvement opportunities. Work within the organization to support proactive I4.0 improvement activities.
- Maintain VSM and production layout.
**Specific duties**:
- Lead problem-solving efforts to support scrap and rework reductions and reduce quality system findings.
- Develop and maintain production flowcharts / travelers.
- Manual process capacity and capability studies.
- Utilize lean manufacturing tools to improve production processes.
- Cooperate with Manufacturing Innovation department to coordinate and implement Industry 4.0 projects.
- New Part Introduction, coordinate building sample parts.
- Generate and maintain layouts, visual aids and work instructions.
- Coordinate design, manufacture and installation of auxiliary equipment, fixtures and accessories.
- Maintain PFMEA and Control plan.
- Participate in daily production meetings
**Qualifications**
**Education**:
- Minimum education level: Bachelors in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering
- Post graduate degree: Optional
**Languages**:
- English - Advanced (written and oral)
