**Job Description**:**General description**:Plan and execute improvement activities related to manufacturing.
Maintain manufacturing systems and documentation.
Support to production processes using engineering tools to improve productivity, reduce cost and increase safety.
**Responsibilities**:- Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet Policy Deployment objectives.- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, PQIs, process control documentation, standard work instructions, etc ).- Implement/coordinate engineering changes and new manufacturing/product releases (PPAP).- Lead continuous improvement projects related to cycle time, defect cost, changeover time, ergonomics, etc.- Coordinate modifications or improvement strategies for existing equipment and/or processes.- Support problem solving and constant-improvement activities.- Perform data analysis to identify and execute proactive I4.0 improvement opportunities.
Work within the organization to support proactive I4.0 improvement activities.- Maintain VSM and production layout.
**Specific duties**:- Lead problem-solving efforts to support scrap and rework reductions and reduce quality system findings.- Develop and maintain production flowcharts / travelers.- Manual process capacity and capability studies.- Utilize _lean manufacturing_ tools to improve production processes.- Cooperate with Manufacturing Innovation department to coordinate and implement Industry 4.0 projects.- New Part Introduction, coordinate building sample parts.- Generate and maintain layouts, visual aids and work instructions.- Coordinate design, manufacture and installation of auxiliary equipment, fixtures and accessories.- Maintain PFMEA and Control plan.- Participate in daily production meetings**Qualifications**:**Education**:- Minimum education level: Bachelors in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering- Post graduate degree: Optional**Languages**:- English - Advanced (written and oral)**Skills / Knowledge / Experience**:- Problem solving - Basic- Project management - Basic- SAP System - Basic- CAD - Intermediate- Lean manufacturing - Intermediate- Process engineering - Intermediate- Manufacturing quality - Intermediate- PFMEA & Control plans - IntermediateAdditional Information**Relations**:- The position implies the frequent need to deal with people from other Departments of similar or sometimes higher levels, taking coordination agreements, giving and receiving information
