.Manufacturing EngineerThe Manufacturing Engineer will support Business Unit team members in the areas of problem solving, Lean and Continuous Improvement activities, and process development.Requirements:3 or more years' experience in the relevant manufacturing process.For the heat treat process, minimum of 5 years' experience in heat treat operations or a combination of formal metallurgical education and experience is required.Practical, successful experience in the development of Standard Work.Successful Product Launch / Production Start-up experience including all documentation, testing, data collection, and reporting.Experience leading the PPAP process to successful conclusion.Experience leading cost savings and performance improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.Advanced English (90%).Advanced technical knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes such as: injection molding, extrusion, fabrication, metal roll-forming, and heat treat.Responsibilities:Ensures that all Manufacturing Engineering (ME) related activities in the office and on the production floor are carried out in a safe manner. Responsible to address any unsafe practices by any employee that are witnessed in any area on the shop floor or in the office.Effectively supports and understands the JAC Products Development System (JPDS) and overall launch responsibility. Responsible to complete on time all deliverables assigned to the Manufacturing Engineer under the JPDS program and support JPDS program Gate reviews. ME deliverables include ownership for the Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Capital Asset Request (CAR) Approval, Equipment Plan and Installation, Equipment Qualification, Tooling and Equipment Tryout, Run at Rate, and Operator Work Instructions.ME is to support the following 8 pack and Facilities and Equipment Plans.Verify BOM for parts manufactured on assigned manufacturing cells are accurate and contain proper quantities and weights for each part.Supports the development of packaging and ensures BOMs & packaging instructions are accurate and correct.Prepares project cost estimates, budgets, Returns On Investments (ROIs), and CARs as required.Works with Launch Managers, Facility Tooling, and Equipment Suppliers to develop and build assembly fixtures, assembly aids, or other equipment needed in developing manufacturing cells to manufacture parts.Leads the creation and maintenance of specific process Work Instructions, partnering with the appropriate Business Unit counterpart(s) to ensure accuracy of process.Participate in quality stand-down for customer concerns.Responsible for information boards and ensuring the following metrics are being tracked daily and monthly on each cell.Responsible for training Business Unit team members and operators on safety devices, manufacturing build process, standard work, process flow diagrams (PFD), PFMEA, work instructions, problem solving techniques, cell layout, information board, and charting cell metrics
