**Job Title**:Manufacturing Engineer**
**Reports to**: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
**Position Overview**:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness. This team member will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
**Responsibilities**:
1. **Process Development and Optimization**:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve production goals, improve quality, and reduce costs.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices to enhance efficiency & productivity.
- Design and layout manufacturing workstations, equipment, and processes to ensure optimal workflow.
2. **Equipment and Tooling Management**:
- Specify and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.
- Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.
- Work with suppliers to ensure equipment and tooling meet specifications and standards.
3. **Production Support**:
- Provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis of production problems and implement corrective actions.
4. **Continuous Improvement**:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
5. **Project Management**:
- Manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
6. **Health and Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing environment.
- Implement safety improvements to reduce risks and prevent accidents.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in manufacturing, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, molding, and automation.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
- **Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)**
