This requires participation in new product development programs, identifying design-for-manufacturability issues and ensuring these issues are addressed prior to release, including:Essential DutiesComplete time studies, revise line layouts, and implement selective automation to improve efficiencyDevelop and gain approvals for all test protocolsDevelop corrective actions to resolve issues and implement changesFollow up to ensure problem is resolvedGenerate all the required documentation (Drawings and BOM's, Manufacturing Instructions, Visual Aids, Standing Instructions, PM's, Costing, Implementation Analysis) required to submit an Engineering Change OrderImplement changes and complete operator trainingImplement changes to Manufacturing upon ECO approvalMay lead small scope projects under the direction and supervision of managerPerform or facilitate all the required testing as specified in the protocolResponsible for documentation and implementation of approved changesReview and analyze and document test results in a test reportReview and chart customer and in process defect data and identify highest frequency and most critical failure modesReview assembly processes for opportunities to improve efficiency and throughputSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneQualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree: Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial or relevant degree) - RequiredExperience1 year: Experience in manufacturing environment - RequiredSkillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to drive multiple projects to successful completionDemonstrated written communication skillsTraining or certification in Lean ManufacturingTraining or certification in Six SigmaIntermediate English skills - reading, writing, and verbalFamiliar with computer programs such as Excel and Word.
