Recommend new approaches where feasible Lead and participate in Kaizen events based on VSM Roadmaps Utilizes RBS tools to solve problems and continuously improve. Promote and facilitate the use/establishment of continuous improvement tools. Assist in developing and implementing the lean manufacturing action plans to support achievement of strategy deployment and strategic business growth. Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist others in solving problems using problem solving tools such as DMAIC Develop and implement manufacturing cost out projects. Assist manufacturing and assembly associates to resolve set-up, tooling and fixture problems, special process (heat treatment, plating and welding) and selection of proper tooling and grinding wheels. Develop, maintain and implement process routings and set-up instructions for the production of parts and assemblies Ability to write programs that will machine complex parts to very close tolerances on multiple axes on various machining centers. Horizontal Machining Centers including Macro, sub program and variable programming knowledge. "Shop Floor" problem solving. Kaizen participation such as SMDE, VSM, 5s, etc...Desirable Experience, Capabilities and Success FactorsBS in Engineering, or related technical field required Advanced English. A minimum of three years of engineering experience working in a manufacturing plant environment Experience in industrial technical field. Ability to extract critical data and analyze data to make informed business decisions. Excellent computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.) Demonstrated proficiency in project management. Team orientated with the ability to influence others without authority Experience with manufacturing bearings a plus Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus Excellent computer skills (CAD/CAM, Auto Cad, Shop Cam, Solid Works, Master Cam word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)
