Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in successfully duplicating a current manufacturing process from China to Tijuana. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across various teams to ensure a seamless transition and optimal operation of the new manufacturing setup. Key Responsibilities: - Support executing the new facility's project plans, timelines, and budgets. - Conduct comprehensive process analysis and documentation to ensure all aspects of the existing process are replicated accurately. - Identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth transition. - Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains. - Implement best practices and lean manufacturing techniques to optimize the new facility's operations. - Continuously monitor and evaluate the new process to ensure it meets quality and performance standards. - Provide technical support and expertise during the installation and setup of equipment in the new facility. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, quality, and maintenance, to resolve any issues that arise during the duplication process. - Train and mentor new facility staff on the replicated manufacturing processes and equipment operation. - Ensure that the startup process adheres to all quality and regulatory standards. - Develop and implement quality control procedures and testing protocols to maintain product quality and consistency. - Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all processes, modifications, and improvements. - Prepare regular reports on project status, progress, and any deviations from the plan. - Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. - Develop new process documentation, validation and training plans.
Experiência y requisitos
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. - More than five years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with a focus on process duplication or setup of new facilities. - Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control standards. - Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Proficiency in CAD software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant engineering tools. - Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus. - Availability to travel internationally.
