POSITION SUMMARYManufacturing Engineer A is the change agent responsible for maintaining and improving a specific process on an assigned APU or Process. Oversees day-to-day process performance, monitors KPI's, addresses issues, and provides solutions always considering cost. Champion on continuous improvement and process support. Key member of the Manufacturing Readiness portion of the NPDI process.RESPONSIBILITIESProcess Definition and Manufacturing Readiness with the following deliverables:LayoutLine BalanceCell/Line DesignMaterial PresentationTooling and FixturingProcess DocumentationTrainingFPYParticipates in 3D model review, Design Review and Drawing reviews for each NPDI of the site.Business Unit and Functional KPI's tracking and performance: Scrap, Operation Supplies, Change Over, Standard Hrs Cost Reduction Projects. Familiar with CapEX request cycles including business case justification and execution.Lean / Operational System Implementation within Business Unit: Standard Work, SMED, Poke-Yoke.Root Cause Analysis, Preventive and Corrective Actions Implementation.Safety & Ergonomics: Supports (in conjunction with functional team) Job Safety Analysis evaluation to detect, correct or mitigate safety risks and ergonomic risks.Training & Development: Supports Operations on the training of personnel on the manufacturing process.Continuous Improvement: Implement at least 1 improvement idea monthly – that impacts Cost, Quality or Safety.Layout – Responsible for defining and controlling the layout and distribution of his business unit.QUALIFICATIONSIndustrial, Mechanical, Aerospace or Automotive Engineering degreeFluent in English (written and spoken)Lean Six Sigma or Lean PractitionerNPD or NPDI ProcessLean Transformation & Kaizen EventsAPQPSPCPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSConstant walking the shop floor in welding areas.TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED10%#J-18808-Ljbffr
