**ACTIVITIES**:
- Make decisions to ensure that the final product meets the most current customer input requirements.
- Leads a multidisciplinary engineering team to design, develop and implement new products that meet customer requirements.
- Authorize and / or justify purchases for the acquisition of equipment, machinery, tools, materials, etc., necessary for the development of new products and / or models.
- Manage all your staff a burden to carry out their activities in an efficient, effective and at a lower cost, maximizing the budget to meet the objectives set.
- Participates in continuous improvement and advises all departments on situations of technical conflict for the resolution of engineering problems.
- Coordinates activities with other departments (Production, Quality, Materials, Human Resources, Maintenance) to ensure that new products are implemented in an effective way, guaranteeing the best quality, manufacturing, operation and at the lowest cost.
- It ensures that all documentation and records which provide evidence that the design, validation and verification of the design were developed, collected, archived and maintained according to the documentation requirements.
- Responsible for selecting its staff with the characteristics and capabilities necessary for the development and proper functioning of the engineering department.
- Responsible for a good administration of the productive spaces and in general of the plant (Layout).
- Supervises or conducts research, studies and special tests to evaluate the efficiency of new designs.
- Directs the engineering staff in the formulation of plans, designs, cost estimates and specifications.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- 6 to 8 years of experience in similar functions.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Advanced English
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, GMP (Good manufacturing Practices), MRP, MTM Systems, new product introduction processes, process reengineering, maintenance, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, project management, ISO, QS, Safety and health standards, etc.
- Strong business vision, excellent management skills to achieve multiple projects and demands on time
