Job DescriptionAs a manufacturing manager, you will need to achieve, maintain and raise the benchmark in terms of customer satisfaction, organizational success and staff well-being through the implementation of rigorously defined manufacturing processes, based on a respectful approach to industrial safety and the environment.
This job determines budgetary estimates, cost reductions in connection with efficient and ergonomically correct procedures in Manufacturing and plans human resources along with capital equipment for optimum production. The Manager also supervises personnel, including performance and salary reviews and administers Company policy. This job maintains a balance between production and resources and plays a key role in Company profit and loss.
Manage all production and personnel activities in the department.
Coordinate production schedules in order to meet customer delivery requirements efficiently.
Analyze research on new production processes.
Establish environment and program to develop key talent for related production.
Communicate regularly with employees, advising them of excellent or problematic work.
Responsible for production quality and standards.
Drive cost reduction projects and productivity improvements.
Work closely with other Rexroth companies, both foreign and domestic, on product transfers and production processes. Share information on new products and enhancements in the production process.
Provide assistance and support to subordinate managers and supervisors through coaching and mentoring.
Monitor and appraise employees' performance on a yearly basis. Take steps to correct substandard work.
Take disciplinary action on employees who violate company policy.
Counsel and develop employees in order to aid them in achieving their career goals.
Interpret and administer Company policy.
Set departmental goals for key performance indicators (KPI's).
Work closely with managers and supervisors in reporting departments to achieve departmental and Company goals.
Develop with other departments (TEF, QMM, LOG, etc.) future operation strategies.
Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned.
Responsible for internal and external audits regarding the production.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in engineering or similarWork History: several years of relevant professional experience in the manufacturing area and supply chainExperience and Knowledge: Minimum four-year degree in a technical field or equivalent. Thorough knowledge of various manufacturing principles and ideologies: Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, etc. Demonstrated application of production systems in the working environment. Knowledge in the fields of investment calculation, cost calculation and cost structure. Familiar with labor/time study methods. Analytical problem-solving techniques.
