**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
**Position Summary**:
Responsible for Engineering Changes. Supports for Shop Floor, Tool Room, Quality Department and Maintenance Staff. Identifies and Implements projects to improve equipment and/or operator performance quality, uptime, cycle time, cavitation, scrap reduction, etc. Leads implementation of new product introduction and new equipment installation/upgrade activity to ensure successful launches. Be a change agent leader; drive the cultural transformation necessary to achieve world-class performance by the organization and promotes a positive teamwork environment.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Ensure performance goals are met for quality, on-time delivery to customer, equipment throughput, equipment uptime and scrap.
- Support manufacturing operations in areas of process development, machine programming, machinery & equipment acquisition, manufacturing layout, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage external relationships with mold suppliers, assembly equipment suppliers and local fabricators to achieve overall performance objectives.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities in our manufacturing operations and implement new processes that improve our quality, cost, capacity, and overall capability.
- Lead with outside vendors and corporate technical team members the commissioning of new equipment, ensuring the design specification is achieved.
- Develop and implement well-managed process for equipment changeovers to optimize uptime and ensure performance objectives are achieved. Continuously explore opportunities to reduce equipment changeover times.
- Develop and document operating procedures related to equipment maintenance. Train team members to effectively use the procedures in their day-to-day roles.
- Reporting on the performance of identified KPIs and on opportunities for improvement to management.
- Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization and in particular, your area of responsibility.
- Define, analyze and improve injection processes, considering customer requirements, quality standards, ergonomics, safety and environment to achieve competitiveness and profitability of the organization.
- Develop and manage the flow diagram and process AMEF.
- Create the documentation for the injection process according to the drawing and design (work instructions, process sheets, visual aids, etc.).
- Define, control and improve production times of injection processes.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure optimal management of suppliers.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance, in order to avoid injection process problems.
**Qualifications**
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Green Belt Lean or Six Sigma Certification
- 2-4 years' experience in similar engineering/technical position
- Injection Molding
- Metal Stamping/Forming
- High and Low speed Assembly
- ISO
- Quality Systems
- 8D problem solving method
- Strong 2D and 3D Drawing Characteristics
- Extensive experience with pneumatic devices and pressure activated devices.
