This role is a hands-on worker with high accountability, administrative rigor, and deep experience with manufacturing systems, processes, and documentation.
Main goal is to ensure our production line, systems, and products are built to specification, with optimized hours of labor and material costs.
Responsibilities: Drive efficiency, quality, and timeline improvements by optimizing existing processes and/or creating new manufacturing processes. Study production and equipment requirements to ensure we can meet product design. Develop work processes, training for new processes, visual aids, and perform those training sessions. Organize and manage manufacturing workflows, resources, and present data clearly to all levels of the organization. Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality. Train staff in new and existing processes. Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations. Upgrade systems and processes with new technology and new designs. Experience and Requirements: Degree in Engineering; post-graduate degree is a plus. Fluent in English. Visa required. 5-7 years previous experience as a manufacturing engineer, process engineer, or similar role. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and/or residential building & construction methods. Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques. Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations. Well-versed in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office, PLM, Revit, BIM). Project management skills. Problem-solving ability. Teamwork skills. Experience in Light gauge steel construction is a plus. Manufacturing engineer must have process development, process engineering, quality management, value engineering, project management experience, and 5-7 years of experience in a factory working with similar materials and equipment.
