You will be responsible for maximizing efficiency in every aspect of the production processes to ensure that each assigned production line is operated in the best way for the proper use of its direct labor resources, materials, equipment and space, reducing costs and implementing best practices, maintaining order and cleanliness, as well as compliance with safety standards, establishing productivity goals, minimizing waste, developing your staff following the defined training program, ensuring and facilitating team meetings, ensuring proper timely effective communication.
**JOB DUTIES:
- Ensure compliance with the daily and weekly schedule.
- Fulfill responsibilities according to your level
- Preparation of daily production report for the daily meeting with other departments.
- Ensure root cause actions in weekly continuous improvement meetings with your leaders.
- Lead at least one root cause per week.
- Dedication of 80% of the time to the production floor.
- Provide support to the ROE implementation team.
- Hourly monitoring of OA and test yields.
- Observe the adherence of their leaders to the standardized work and that they are carrying out routines of the assigned personnel.
- Randomly confirm the operators' adherence to standard work.
- Verify that production areas are orderly and clean, ensuring that leaders take action for deviations.
- Make sure the 3-5-10 rule is followed.
- Monitor punctuality of shift start and end times.
- Stay 10 min. before the start of the shift.
- Daily tour at the beginning of the shift of the production lines under your responsibility.
- Review of your direct work daily at the beginning of the shift to cover absenteeism.
- Recommend daily overtime needs to the supervisor by the fifth hour of the shift.
- Promote and cross-train your staff, maintaining at least 2 trained and certified operators per operation.
- Immediately report any incident or accident involving personnel in the areas under your responsibility.
- Report weekly absenteeism and turnover in their areas.
- Personalized record of the performance of the personnel under your charge.
- Handover of shift to the incoming supervisor sharing the most relevant information of his shift.
- Support ROE implementation initiatives.
- Observe and identify waste opportunities (MUDA)
- Review the metrics on your boards at least 4 times per shift. Monitor the workflow between cells, ensuring that IPKs are maintained, as well as the use of andón lights.
**YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 to 5 years of experience in similar position.
- Advanced Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques (8 Disciplines, Root Cause Analysis, etc )
- Microsoft Office basic
- Time availability for the second shift Personnel management experience
