Marine UnderwriterMexico CityWhat you need to know :The primary purpose of the job is to analyze, quote and negotiate Marine business complying with the Company guidelines, risk appetite and internal procedures to bring profitable business to the company.Administrate and renew existing portfolio by collecting and analyzing data from the claims, actuarial, multinational and distribution divisions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAttend new business submissions with premium over 15K USD (average premium). Analyze, quote as per our company guidelines and appetite, deliver, negotiate, and closure.Anticipate renewal process to evaluate losses, terms, and conditions.Provide service to current portfolio requests, providing in a timely response to brokers and agents consistent with SLA's.Interaction with other AIG areas to collect or provide information such as: Claims, Distribution, Actuary and Finance.Attend external meetings with brokers and Insureds to reinforce business line strategy, strength relations and increase new business opportunities, always promoting AIG values and behaviors.Filing as per required for all renewal and new accounts.Participate in different activities and cooperate with necessary information to prepare reports and monitoring of results, Limits Profile, Portfolio Review, KPI s, and any other information which required.Participate in assigned projects i.E., to improve operation as automatization processes, or any other which needs his / her actively participation.Comply with Guidelines, appetite, and risk focus to gain profitable business.Leadership SkillsExcellent communication skills, both written & verbal.Good presentation skills and file knowledge.Time management ability to manage & prioritize workload and diary management.Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment and with internal / external clients.Ability to assist with technical training to team claim handlers as required.Technical Skills and ExpertiseBachelor's Degree in finance, administration, international relations, international trade, engineering, actuary or similar.Office Package : Intermediate or advance level of Excel.Experience :At least 2 years of experience in Middle Market Underwriting or knowledge of Marine Cargo Terms & Conditions.Proven experience in the handling problems with agents, brokers, clients.Along with technical skills required for the job, soft skills like effective broker engagement, commitment, teamwork, proactive management, effective time management / prioritization, calendar organization, negotiation skills, engagement with the team.Effective analytical and attention to detail.English required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
