This person will work closely with the Event & Campaign Manager to organize and execute the event strategy that aligns with strategic business goals; which will include leading the tactical execution of planned event activity, creating unique ways to drive brand awareness, customer engagement and net-new leads, and building and executing project plans for dozens of U.S. national events. The Marketing Event Specialist will own the execution of the events program and will collaborate with the team to implement other campaign tactics for the Events Program and other Programs.Department: Marketing, Campaign TeamLocation: Chicago, Remote (Mexico)Reports to: Event & Campaign Manager**What you get to do**:- Plan, coordinate and execute every aspect of Loadsmart's trade shows and events that contribute toward business goals and objectives.- Create, organize and distribute a marketing show communication plan for pre and post event messaging and take a lead role in sharing to internal staff, external customers and vendors.- Coordinate and effectively communicate the schedule of activities for Loadsmart's staff, event staff, contractors and vendors as required to successfully execute all aspects of an event.- Attend and come prepared for regularly scheduled meetings and/or conference calls with the Events & Campaign Manager to ensure best practices are being met. Diligently take notes and ensure no action items are missed.- Coordinate shipping of required tradeshow materials and ensure their prompt arrival. Responsible for planning ahead and organizing logistics to move materials from one show to the next.- Maintain relationships and collaborate with external vendors and associations representatives as well as key internal stakeholders, to determine show selection, strategy and show objectives.- Maintain marketing materials inventory, projections and reports on usage consumption (SWAG).- Manage the timely transfer of lead data to the RevOps Department; and follow up on delivery to Sales for entry into Salesforce.- Travel to event site locations to ensure continuity in management at time of execution, when necessary.**Position Requirements**:- Project management or experience planning events for 2+ years highly recommended.- Work independently but also take direction from supervisor.- Strong organizational skills with an influencing presence; ability to multitask, prioritize and handle ad hoc projects.- Excellent, detailed driven communicator: ability to deliver necessary information to different business levels in a timely manner.- Manage time and meet hard deadlines.- Positive team player with good problem-solving skills
