ResponsibilitiesThe OpportunityThe Master Production Planner will collaborate with the PepsiCo Foods North America Platform owners, Industry Managers, and Raw Material Planners to maintain an optimized, network-wide Supply Plan that meets target service and cost metrics while adhering to capacity and transportation constraints.
This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate inputs required for the SAP Network Optimization application, analyzing the source plan outputs against an agreed-upon solution quality definition, communicating changes to their platform owner, and publishing the sourcing ratios/quotas for use by other supply chain planning applications.
The planner will create sourcing and supply recommendations and align the organization on the optimal strategy for finished goods deployment.
The selected candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of optimization models and the ability to analyze complex data sets to develop recommendations.
They should have experience influencing upwards and cross-functionally within the business and possess the thought leadership to propose optimal supply plans across a network.Your ImpactAs a Master Production Planner, you will play a key role in optimizing our supply chain.
Your responsibilities include:- Ensuring data accuracy in the NetOpt tool and escalating issues as needed.- Maintaining network optimization data in the PAG master data tool.- Collaborating with Net Opt Managers to develop sourcing plans for internal plants and external co-manufacturers.- Conducting ad-hoc scenario analyses and evaluating their impacts.- Addressing raw material shortages to ensure optimal service outcomes.- Publishing sourcing ratios for downstream supply planning applications.- Fine-tuning network optimization outputs by adjusting inputs and constraints.- Resolving planning alerts related to shortages, inventory, and capacity issues with Net Opt Managers.- Working with cross-functional partners to refine the model with appropriate parameters.- Supporting policy adjustments with Inventory Optimization due to manufacturing or storage constraints.- Simplifying communication of optimization outputs for decision-making purposes.- Creating and providing feedback on new supply sourcing analytics processes and team collaboration.We welcome diverse candidates who are passionate about supply chain optimization and enjoy cross-functional collaboration.
