.SUMMARYThe Material and Logistics Manager main responsibilities include the movement, importation, distribution, insurance claims and storage of machines, material planning, warehousing, pricing, logistics for consumables and spare parts within Makino Mexico Operation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITIES include the following. Others may be assigned.Design, improve and implement processes and systems related to these material management and logistical activities to drive efficiency.Provide an excellent customer experience for interactions with his or her team. This includes professionalism, responsiveness, proactive communication with customers and internal colleagues in case of changes, etc.Directing the Full Order Cycle: To optimize and coordinate from procurement to delivery. This includes liaising with MM, suppliers, and customers.Quality Control and Efficiency: To design, improve and implement processes and systems to keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and to resolve any arising problems or complaints (Returns and customer escalations). Additionally, follow up with accounting for closing out complete orders.Analyzing Data: To maintain metrics, analyze data, and assess performance to implement necessary improvements.Compliance and Requirements: To comply with laws, regulations, and Makino Corporate requirements.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and Manage Logistics: To organize and monitor import/export activities. The official must have extensive knowledge in the field of customs and foreign trade, allowing not only to prepare the necessary documentation for customs clearance of goods and can anticipate any contingency that might arise.Manage spare parts call center, provide quotes, enter sales orders, deal with returns, deal with customer escalations, etc.Manage warehouse, storage, transportation, and customer services related to machines, service parts, materials and consumable to ensure that items and resources are efficiently shipped to their designated destinations (pick, pack and ship).Supervising staff, 3PL Supplier and brokers: Supervise, coach, and train Makino Mexico staff, negotiate with suppliers and brokers to meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.Ensure compliance and follow present legal regulations.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
