When the need arises you'll have the opportunity to visit our manufacturing partners in different parts of the world.As a specialist in our Materials group you will be entrusted to provide materials and special processes guidance on a wide variety of engineering projects based on your knowledge, both to support new component manufacture and to support repair operations.How You'll Make an ImpactProvide technical input into the selection of materials, special processes and suppliers to meet the business needsReview and approve component definitions, design alteration requests, repair methods and non-conformance reportsApprove methods of manufacture and related documentation to ensure that the finished components will satisfy the design intentAssist with root cause investigation activitiesEvaluate the suitability of material design data to specific applicationsPropose alternative specifications to support progressive industrialisation of our productsWhat You BringBachelors degree in Materials Engineering or a closely related field5+ years working experience in a gas turbine materials functionExperience in various special processes such as heat treatment, brazing, welding and coatingsExperience of gas turbine materials and special process application is preferredExperience in material melting practices is preferredExperience in casting and/or forging is preferredFluent in English is a must (you will report directly to Canada).Your opportunities for personal growthWork on a wide variety of projects related to turbomachineryDevelop new skillset into exiting areas of materials and special process technologyExposure to global company leadership through successful completion of material related projectsParticipate in world-wide engineering and manufacturing support activitiesAbout The TeamOur Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector.
