Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose - to make great products that create value and improve people's lives.- Job Summary- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Material Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.- Reporting to the Materials Manager, Material Manager role involves directing and coordinating activities of personnel engaged in some or all of the following areas: material planning, distribution, inventory control, material analysis, purchasing and supply chain management by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.- What a typical day looks like:- Manages, controls and directs the activities and staff involved in the distribution of inventory to the production line.- Manages, controls and directs staff to achieve Materials profit and loss objectives including minimization of excess and obsolete inventory.- Ensures the timely delivery of materials at the most economical cost, consistent with quality standards, affecting quality by assuring that suspicious material is identified and that material is handled, stored and delivered properly.- Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction through negotiations of customer expectations and managing and directing staff activities required to meet this expectation.- Coordinates with customers, purchasing, project managers, operations managers and warehouse managers.- Reviews, plans and approves purchase orders and change notices.- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.- Responsible for disposition of excess and obsolete materials.- The experience we're looking to add to our team:- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.- Fluent English oral and written.- Advanced Excel.- Previous experience as Purchasing and Planning Manager.- Knowledge with VMI or SMI.- Experience in personnel management.- Previous experience using some ERP.- Knowledge in Kinaxis.- Experience in negotiating with clients.- What you'll receive for the great work you provide:- Competitive Salary.- Life & Medical insurance.- Christmas Bonus.- Food Coupons.- Saving Fund.- AD80- Job CategoryGlobal Procurement & Supply Chain
