Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.About the Role:Responsible for scheduling, planning, and oversight of Grief material procurement, production, and delivery; work in liaison with Operations Supervisors and Team Leaders to resolve, ensure efficiency and quality within the material handling and warehousing functions. Also to work in liaison with Operations Supervisors, the Transportation and Customer Service teams.As a Material Planner you can expect to:Collaborate with the Operations Supervisor towards the supervision of a multitude of activities in the warehouse and coordinate to assure production schedules are met in the most efficient, accurate and safe fashion.Allocate resources based on work schedule, sequence and priorities of jobs to be performed by the team in order to meet the pre-established timeline limits.Support start-up meetings, troubleshoot as required, escalate system issues for resolution, and coordinate with the traffic and customer service teams.Carry out all duties/tasks as assigned by the Operations Supervisor and cover for the Operations Supervisors in their absence.Support all 5S, Lean & CPS related initiatives and activities.Coordinate flow of grief materials within the manufacturing facility and transfer of materials (premium freight) to and from inventory or warehouse.Build up and follow up procurement plan realization to ensure they align with business objectives.Track and analyze supplier performance (Grief) metrics, collaborating and negotiating with suppliers to deliver materials per requirements.Perform other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.What You Have – Skills and ExperiencesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute your unique skills and experiences.
