Company Description**Job Description**:**SUMMARY**:The Material Planner prepares business related analyses and research for Supply Chain, Materials Management, and/or Logistics.
The individual prepares forecasts, analyzes trends related to Planning, Distribution or Warehouse, Inventory or Material Control.
**Responsibilities**- Analyze and plan material requirements by determining the quantity and date materials are needed to ensure optimal inventory levels.- Prepare forecasts and analyze trends in manufacturing, sales, distribution, general business conditions and other related areas.- Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.- Prepare shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinate with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements.- Make comparative cost analyses in order to determine the most effective and efficient options for inventory, distribution, and transportation.- Negotiate prices and rates in accordance to company guidelines and standards.- Develop and implement supply chain, material management, and logistics plans that may affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products in order to enhance product flow.- Coordinate supply chain, material management, and logistics activities with internal/external customers.- Implement lean concepts and continuous improvements regarding supply chain, material management, and logistics systems and processes.- Prepare supply chain, material management, and logistics research and analysis for use in the development of business strategies and tactics.
**Qualifications**:English Advanced, able to keep a fluid conversation.High school degree or equivalent.
