Ciena makes your social / entertainment / business existence REAL.**This Supply Chain position is responsible for working with our customer order operations, global fulfillment leaders, demand planning, supply planning, production and distribution teams to ensure supply availability in support of product deliveries to attain company objectives, on-time delivery and customer requirements.**The role / What you will do at Ciena**:Responsible for the Routing and Switching Portfolio (RLP) throughout the product life cycle, this position will be responsible for working with our supply chain partners and scheduling teams to plan and direct the execution of product deliveries to support customer orders, attain corporate on-time delivery objectives, customer satisfaction, inventory turns and operational efficiencies.This is achieved by developing the proper supply planning strategies to effectively manage the balance between Supply and Demand, ensuring the security of supply on key components and finished products and coordinating the execution of their manufacturing schedules with our EMS partners.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Develop and manage the product Master Production Schedule (MPS) in an outsourced environment- Coordinate with our EMS the rolling weekly material drive and production schedule as well as its execution.- Work with suppliers to ensure system data integrity, especially where related to delivery commits- Communicates effectively with Scheduling and Fulfillment teams on delivery commitments, and schedule changes.- Support/Lead expedite requests
