Materials Engineer.

**Essential duties and responsibilities**:- Develop record retention program related to the logistics functions.- Maintains records of cost-effective consolidating and loading, and schedules of company transportation moves.- Track traffic-related activities in support of customers, sales and customer service, including the daily plans are effectively dispatched and transportation requirements are met.- Interface with Customer Service to status resolution of issues and distressed shipments to ensure they are quickly resolved.- Document and maintain key performance metrics with transportation suppliers based on KPI information.- Prosecute, recover and report on freight claims.- Maintain documentation related to inbound international freight in terms of logistics, US Customs, customs brokers, freight forwarders, delivery companies, etc.- Contributor to continual business process improvement.- Review exception freight bills and reconcile before recommending payment. -Interface with Customer Service regarding tracking databases, re-consignments, processing claims, investigating incorrect shipments, coordinating customer "holds," storage, and applicable billing.- Provide customer service information for order status, delivery information, expedited shipments and other transportation issues.**Required Qualifications**:- BA degree or equivalent work experience.- 3+ years of experience in domestic and global logistics.- Administrative experience in a mid-sized company or small- to mid-sized unit of a larger company that operated reasonably independently.- Excellent documentation, organizational and communication skills are crucial.Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completo, Por tiempo indeterminadoSalario: A partir de $11,111.00 al díaHorario:- Lunes a viernes- Turno de 10 horasPrestaciones:- Estacionamiento gratuito- Programa de referidos- Seguro de gastos médicos mayores- Servicio de comedor- Vales de despensa
