**What you'll do**:
Eaton's VGNA Truck is seeking a Materials Planning Manager in San Luis Potosi
Primary Function:
This position is responsible for the efficient productive output of NA Truck Divisional Materials Planners in support of all inventory, production, and customer service goals using lean planning principles and processes. This position will interface with the Truck and JV plant operations, and other supply chain functions in support of improving service. Main KPI's: OTD; DOH; Premium Freight.
Will motive other departments to achieve Material Planning goals such as Quality, Commodity Management, Purchasing, Engineering, this role has many stakeholders create partnership to keep VGNA.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the development and management of the team including, talent acquisition and retention, disciplinary actions, training and certifications, work assignments, scheduling vacation and monitoring attendance.
- Allocates and balances the team workload in accordance with materials planning requirements and personnel skill levels
- Develops, maintains, and support metrics (Inventory Value, DOH, OTD, ERP health) across truck plants in NA (Include ECJV Product lines)
- Analyzes forecasted demand to ensure sufficient safety stock and strategic inventory levels for Eaton/ECJV purchasing items.
- Work closely and proactively with buyers team to escalate, review and resolve commercial issues using Eaton's processes to deliver material on time without any production impact.
- Work with customer service and materials areas to drive OTD to the customer, identify potential problems and work creatively to develop and implement sustainable solutions to improve service level.
- Develop and maintain countermeasures to address the root causes of gaps in planning process.
- Build relationships with co-workers in all areas of the plant focus on continuous process enhancement. Work toward the creation of a lean support culture in accord with our overall division lean objectives.
- Responsible for daily/weekly updates for past due and current orders; facilitate resolution by working with CSR and peers to execute past due orders to meet OTD expectation.
- Monitor, measure and drive performance improvement of the planning performance metrics
- Operate whit urgency when it's needed to mitigate impact to our customers, able to maintain calm on stressful situations
- Promotes the IMPACT strategy and supports Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.
- Support customer escalations if necessary.

**Qualifications**:
- Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Management, or Business
- 10 years material management / material requirements planning / master production scheduling experience / customer management
- Experience of managing a plant is preferred.
- Extensive knowlegde into ERP system, preferred (Oracle), Business intelligence platforms (Cognos, Qlikview), Comprehensive skills with entire MS Office Package
- Demonstrated sound decision-making skills, Experienced problem solver, Effective communication, Ability to react quickly under pressure, Strong ability to multitask

- APICS CPIM Certified
