Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Materials Manager.
**What you'll do**:
**Main goal**:
This position directs a wide breadth of services to assigned internal businesses in support of SCM and corporate strategies, initiatives, and plant goals. Responsible of Materials Managament process which includes, Inventory Management, Customer On time delivery, Supplier performances aligned with ISO/IATF requirements.
**Job Responsibilities and authority**
Directs all Material Managment activities including: Inventory Management, Logistic, Purchasing, Scheduling Planning and SIOP
Build & maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external customers. Initiate and implement process improvement activities to meet business objectives
Support Corporate cost-out activities as representative for the plant.
Support EHS action plan. Safety performance improvement. Ensure EHS goals are fully cascaded. Contractors Certification. Handling of chemicals.
Develop and implement tools to ensure adequate supplier capacities are in place to support operation plans and to track Eaton and customer paid tooling within the supply base
In conjunction with other functions define action plans to improve Customer satisfaction.
Lead annual inventory to ensure inventory accuracy
Develops and directs the implementation of group-wide strategy for finished goods forecasting and planning
Create the inventory plan and execute (Dlls and DOH) in order to satisfy the business needs in terms of material availability and financial impact
Develops and directs the successful implementation of service strategy that consistently achieves on-time delivery, maximizes the efficient use of resources, and optimizes customer satisfaction, while maintaining acceptable finished goods inventory levels and meeting group profit plan.
Coordinates with cross functional departments to maximize efficiency of supply chain resources and provides business solutions
Drives continuous business improvement processes using technology, labor and asset solutions to improve service level, cost position, and productivity.
Establishes, analyzes, and reports supply chain key performance indicators and business and quality metrics.
**Qualifications**:
**Education level required**:
Bachelor's degree, Logistics, Materials Management preferred
**Years and area of experience required**:
7 - 10 years' experience in the Materials function in a manufacturing environment (Electronic/Automotive preferred)
**Competencies required**:
Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools, pull systems (KanBan & Min-Max)
Solid working knowledge of MRP systems & strong PC skills
Strong SAP experience and knowledge
APICS certification is a plus
**Soft skills**:
Experience on electronic manufacturing environment.
High level of interpersonal skill to work effectively with others.
Strong English and Spanish communication skills.
