Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, you as a Materials Planner will be responsible for maximizing service levels while minimizing inventory levels, requisitioning of purchased component materials and expediting materials through production and review current production schedules that support the manufacturing process. Creates, tracks, and reports on the current production schedules.
About the job:
- Interface with Production Planners and Master Schedulers regarding to servicing and prioritizing production orders as needed.- Analyze inventories to maintain lowest possible inventory level while still meeting production plan and production orders requirements and service levels.- Analyze demand projections for raw products provided through calculations form finished and semi products.- Run and manage Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for all levels of BOM.- Kanban Management including creation, maintenance, audits, and presentation.- Raw Material Purchase Order Management including order entry, order changes and communication and updating.- Forecast monthly material requirements to vendors to ensure material availability, based on historical data and projections demand.- Suggest and implement appropriate procurement method (JIT, Reorder Point, Consignment, Reducing Lead-Times, or Scheduled Releases).- Analyzes supplier trends, follows up on order placed, verifies delivery and maintains necessary records of supply movement throughout inventory cycle.- Allow no past dues on purchase order and file appropriate complaint and CaWeb when supplier have caused delays.- Investigate root cause to fill rate failures and ensure appropriate corrective actions are initiated. and track solutions are executed on schedule.- Location: Piedras Negras, Coahuila.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree.- Minimum of 3 years' experience.- Production Planning and Inventory Control Techniques.- Knowledge of SAP utilities/queries to capture master data and of optimal methods to verify the master data.- Understanding of ATP/availability checking in relation to populations of PIR's from SOP process and understanding of consumption of PIR's during the order taking process.- Knowledge of MRP functionality including and not limited to: action messages, meting functionality, pegging, dependent demand.- Strong Microsoft Office Skills including in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook Required.- SAP and SAP Business Warehouse knowledge is required.- Excellent communication skills.- English 80%.
