In 2021, Littelfuse had net sales of $2.1 billion.Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, you as a Materials Planner will be responsible for maximizing service levels while minimizing inventory levels, requisitioning of purchased component materials and expediting materials through production and review current production schedules that support the manufacturing process. Creates, tracks, and reports on the current production schedules.About the job:- Raw material requirements to vendors.- Create and follow up purchasing orders, to ensure the supply of raw material to complete the production plan.- Monitor and control logistics costs of raw material shipments.- Control the stock levels on raw material according to business guidelines.- Analyze demand projections for raw products provided through calculations from finished and semi products.- Work with suppliers to continuously improve performance on inventory levels and lead-times.- Work directly with schedulers and production staff to establish business rules for order priorities and expedites- Utilize and monitor material planning procedures ensuring consistent delivery.- Follow up on new products implementation to ensure the supply on components.- Support finance department with past due/pending invoices.- Support other areas in raw material issues.- Follow up on excess and obsolete, blocked, quality inspection and consignment materials.- Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity to provide inputs that determine processes, tools, materials, and labor requirements.- Draws initial conclusions based on analysis around gaps for review with the production planning team.- Draws conclusions on potential improvement strategies for review with the production planning team. Recommendations may be shared with the business.- Location: Piedras Negras, Coahuila.About you:- Background and understanding of supply chain management principles such as (but not limited to) Production Planning, Material Planning, Purchasing, Forecasting, and Logistics is vital for person to successfully navigate the diverse business departments.- English 80%.- Up to one year of experience.- Familiarity with manufacturing assembly process.- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing.- Familiarity with basic supply chain.- High attention to detail.- Requires a command of English
