**Position Overview**:The Material Planner - Import/Export Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of materials for production while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. This role ensures timely and efficient delivery of raw materials, components, and finished goods to meet production and customer requirements in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.**Responsibilities**:- **Import / Export Operations**:- Coordinate the import and export of materials and finished goods, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade agreements.- Prepare and review shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.).- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery.- Stay updated on changes in international trade policies, tariffs, and regulations.- **Suppliers and Logistics Management**:- Communicate with Chinese parent company and other suppliers to confirm delivery timelines and resolve any discrepancies or delays.- Negotiate terms and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery.- Act as a liaison between the production team and external logistics providers to address any operational issues.- **Material Planning**:- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and components, ensuring optimal stock levels without overstocking.- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure material flow.- Analyze production forecasts and adjust planning strategies as needed.- **Compliance and Risk Management**:- Ensure compliance with Mexican, US, and international import/export regulations (e.G., IMMEX program, USMCA ).- Manage duties, taxes, and other trade-related expenses, optimizing cost efficiency.- Identify risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.**Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or import/export operations in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive).- Strong knowledge of Mexican customs regulations, trade agreements, and the IMMEX program.- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).- Familiarity with international logistics processes and Incoterms.- Certification in supply chain management (e.G., APICS, CSCP).- Familiarity with automotive industry standards (e.G., IATF 16949).- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.- **Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)**Pay: From $1.00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:- Ramos Arizpe, Coah.: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)Application Question(s):- Cual es el nível de inglés que manejas**Experience**:- similar role: 3 years (required)Work Location: In person
