In this role, you will help manage the day-to-day activities for a MP&L department in a fast-paced growing facility while also developing a team for future priorities. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the MP&L team, fostering a mindset of zero misses, innovation, and principled-based decision-making. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members. Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence by optimizing processes and workflows for maximum efficiency and productivity to ensure customer requirements and shipping demands. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and finance, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of operations with broader business objectives. Lead initiatives to enhance collaboration between departments and improve overall business performance. One team mindset. Core Functions: Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans for the new facility. Manage all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management. Oversee inventory control, forecasting, and demand planning. Ensure on-time delivery and manage logistics for inbound and outbound materials. Implement cost-saving initiatives
Experiência y requisitos
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Supplier Chain Management or related field (concentrating on scheduling, materials management, customer service). Supervisory experience with a minimum of 3 years. Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. Understanding of accounting finance, credit, logistics, purchasing and Manufacturing processes. Minimum 3 years supply chain and business related experience in International companies. What a typical day looks like: Manages, controls, and directs the activities and staff involved in the distribution of inventory to the production line. Manages, controls, and directs staff to achieve Materials profit and loss goals including minimization of excess and obsolete inventory. Ensures the timely delivery of materials at the most economical cost, consistent with quality standards, affecting quality by assuring that suspicious material is identified, and that material is handled, stored, and delivered properly. Coordinates with purchasing, project managers, operations managers, and warehouse team In charge of accurate inventory cycle counts, and controls. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems. Reviews, plans, and approves purchase orders and change notices. In charge of the disposition of excess and obsolete materials.
