**WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**:
The Maya Forest and Mesoamerican Reef Conservation Analyst will work as a team member for the Maya Forest and Mesoamerican Reef Program within Mexico Business Unit, coordinating functional activities in the Program such as operations and finance support for the conservation team. They will lead the development, maintenance and review of the Program's annual budget throughout the year, and other financial tasks such as supporting teams on building and tracking their budget at project level and setting the Program's fundraising targets. They will collect, maintain and track conservation and finance data bases to produce and review reports, and perform program analysis. They will provide technical and administrative support to several strategic projects particularly in Yucatan Peninsula, in coordination with project managers and partners. The Maya Forest and Mesoamerican Reef Conservation Analyst will also support the Program with procurement, logistics and management for special events and team meetings, etc. They may perform project management tasks. S/he will support the Selva Maya and Mesoamerican Reef Director with travel arrangements, preparing and approving expense reports and calendar management. The Maya Forest and Mesoamerican Reef Conservation Analyst will coordinate activities with multiple variables, setting realistic deadlines and managing the timeline. They will communicate or distribute information to assist staff in making decisions, solving problems, and improving workflow.
Responsibilities will be distributed as follows: 65% supporting the development and implementation of conservation projects; 35% providing administrative support.

- **The Lands Conservation Analyst is well acquainted in supporting conservation teams in**:

- Create, maintain and update project budgets, aligned with their workplans and goals; monitoring team progress and the execution of agreements with partners.
- Combining their technical and operational capacities in order to streamline processes and implement practices to improve program effectiveness.
- Facilitating communication within diverse TNC teams and provide the program with clear guidance in administrative and organizational matters based on good knowledge of TNC's guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Coordinating activities with multiple variables and stakeholders, setting realistic deadlines and managing the timeline.
- Prepare the necessary periodic financials reports of projects and agreements of the strategy.
- Prepare and manage requests of amendments for contracts in accordance with guidelines from supervisors.
- Carry out processes of procurement of goods and services for the strategy following guidelines given by staff and stated in SOP.
- Maintain updated the contracts and agreements database, including products due date and related payments, raising alerts related SOP compliance.
- Lead logistic activities necessary for events, field trips required by professionals of the strategy and guests.
- Prepare materials and attend internal audits requested by the donors of the strategy.
- Keep the general archive of the strategy organized.

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**:

- Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience coordinating budgets and other financial processes.
- Experience coordinating administrative processes.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations.
- Experience generating reports and interpreting data.
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading in Spanish and basic or intermediate knowledge of English.
- Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
- Experience working across teams and communicating with a wide range of people.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Knowledge of current trends in conservation and NGO sector.
