**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience.
Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures.
Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues.
For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
- Develop basic skills in mechanical design, stress analysis, fracture mechanics & low cycle fatigue
- Basic understanding of materials, thermal performance, mission analysis, stress fields that impact low cycle fatigue
- Develop fundamental competence in UG, Ansys & Hypermesh
- Perform 3D finite elements models
- Prepare and present technical data to customer
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree (Degree must be in an engineering, mechanical or related field)
- Solid background on mechanics and finite element analysis methodology
- Strong commitment to integrity and to all GE Values
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- English proficiency
