**Test Engineer II**
Test Engineer II position in the SIL Mechanical Test (MT) group is responsible for developing Mech/Elec design concepts for the implementation and execution of component, subsystem and systems integration test solutions at the Mexicali Campus. Responsible to maintain test readiness for the SIL Facility Systems infrastructure and associated Facility and Test Stand Control Systems. Support Electrical, UUT Controls and Test Instrumentation implementation based on Test Requirements and actively participate in Test Problem investigations and troubleshooting processes required to keep the test program execution and meet schedule commitments.
**Job Requirements**
Responsible for Design Concept definition for Facility Systems required modifications, component test stands and other test solution that involves Transition Programs and new test capabilities in the Mexicali Campus
Execute Mechanical/Electrical and facility related tasks to implement test stands and test solutions at the SIL
Execute component and System Integration testing in the Test Operator role for the SIL Facility Systems
Create Test Documentation (Test Procedures, Test Instructions, Instrumentation list, Facility Systems Checklists, Facility Maintenance Plan, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram, Controls Architecture) in preparation for Test Solution commissioning and correlation process
Coordinate Facility Controls Systems Checkouts, SIL Instrumentation V&Vs during the test bench readiness process
Execute and document Facility and Test Stand related Test Problem investigations, RCCA and Troubleshooting processes. Implement corrective actions and assure proper test execution
Keep tracking and document Lesson Learned, best practices, cost and cycle time reduction opportunities associated with Facility Systems, Test Stands instrumentation and control systems
Coordinate the Facility Preventive Maintenance Program and consolidate maintenance plan and critical FCS spare inventory at the SIL
Manage his own workload, communicating to upper management workload peaks and valleys up front and propose alternatives to meet deadlines associated to test readiness process at the SIL
Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication in Spanish and English. Effective communication with management, test leads and MRTC support groups
**Education and Experience**
B.S. degree in Engineering and 2+ years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical Test positions or equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary
