**Mechanical Design Engineer****Key responsibilities**- Creating mechanical designs and concepts for manufacturing projects (i.E., **material handling equipment)**, considering factors such as functionality, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and adherence to industry standards.- Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.- Building and testing prototypes to validate designs, identify potential issues, and make necessary improvements.- Analyzing and improving existing designs to enhance performance, reliability, efficiency, and ease of manufacturing.- Working closely with cross-functional teams drive the design to completion while adhering to client standards and project required level of design.**Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.- Experience in designing material handling equipment- 3+ years design experience in engineering field preferred.- Must have AutoCAD and Inventor experience.
