Mechanical Engineer (Advanced Structures)- Manage technical deliverables of suppliers.- Coordinate cross-functional, global teamwork.- Support the review and approval of supplier design changes and other technical documents.- Coordinate resolution of in-service issues and product improvements.- Support failure root cause and corrective action investigations.- Communicate with external customers and internal senior leadership regularly to resolve technical issues.- Visit suppliers/customers as required to support investigations and testing.- Establish and mature relationships across departments for technical alignment, problem resolution, and customer support (aftermarket, supply chain, program technical office).- Communicate and make presentations to senior-level engineering leadership.- Able to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit.- Perform other duties as required.- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or, in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.- Knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.- Experience with component testing and test results documentation.- Knowledge of aircraft systems.- Able to present technical issues clearly and concisely.- Important to be creative, analytical, self-starter, energetic, and work well in a team environment at all levels of the organization.- Experience with technical requirements management.- Proficient at tracking and managing technical deliverables across multiple competing projects.- Knowledge of RTCA DO-160 qualification testing.- Experience with aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal protection, or electrical systems.- Understanding of LEAN/Continuous Improvement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
