**Job Summary**The **_Design & Mechanical Engineer _**creates 3D models, Work Orders, and bill of materials (BOMS) for projects related to C&I and Data Centers with a mínimal supervision of senior and/or lead project engineers. Provide production support as required for the C&I Product and Data Centers Product also must help assess and find solutions to problems that impact production and quality. The Design & Mechanical Engineers will participate and lead design reviews with customers, engineering team members and other internal work teams.**Responsibilities**:- Utilize CAD software for 2D & 3D design- Create 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies from both 2D and 3D data- Design 3D sheet metal parts and welded structural steel frames- Design 3D piping/conduit from 2D layout- Create part, assembly, and assembly drawings from 3D files- Proficiency in working with CAD system- Create and maintain bill of materials (BOMS) with a high degree of accuracy- Complete work assignments within determined time frame- Demonstrate creative ability, accuracy, and cost effectiveness- Provide engineering support to manufacturing during production and testing- Work under the direction of supervisor, lead project engineer(s) and/or manager- Works independently with mínimal supervision- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and switch tasks when situations arise- Medium degree of customer interaction- Participate in group discussions and Web Meetings regarding projects- Performs other related duties as assigned- Handling of information via PLM system.**Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering disciplines- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in product engineering or mechanical design- Ability to read, interpret and produce technical drawings- Knowledge of PLM system, using Oracle as desired.- Self-starter. Ability to solve problems, take responsibility and deliver results with a spirit of innovation and strong commitment to excellence- Fluency in English and Spanish required (read, write, and speak)- Proficiency in use of MS Office Software - such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word- Experience in modeling tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or others- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills- Demonstrating ethics and integrity- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization- Have a basic understanding of sheet metal design, manufacturing practices and processes- Exhibit basic sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills- Strong analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills- Team-oriented attitude- Must be action-oriented with an eye for finding opportunity and solving problems- Detail oriented with high attention to detail and proven ability to complete tasks on schedule
