Mechanical Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY The Mechanical Engineer uses 3D CAD software to take product specifications and turn them into a manufacturable product, then releases that design into our engineering product lifecycle management (PLM) system. This role will focus on Single Phase UPS products.

RESPONSIBILITIES Create 3D models using sheet metal and part modeling functionality in CAD (CREO). Create drawings and bills of material for sheet metal and purchased parts. Generate complex assembly drawings and bill of materials. Revise product documentation in CAD (CREO) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM, Oracle) database using our revision control system. Work with manufacturing engineers and production associates to build prototypes and provide direction when needed. Write, submit, and release engineering changes in our PLM database. Ability to interpret agency design standards (such as UL and IEC) for our products. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or above, major in mechanical design, mechanical manufacturing and other related majors, with solid foundational knowledge. 2-4 years of experience in designing sheet metal products (cabinets, chassis) or plastic and die-casting products, familiar with sheet metal processing technology, proficient in CREO and other design software. Basic understanding of the relevant materials of power electronic products, product thermal design, safety regulations, EMC, and related knowledge. Able to think and solve problems independently, diligent, conscientious, and good at teamwork. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS No special requirements.
