Mechanical Engineer

**Job Summary**The **_Sustaining Electrical Engineer _**is responsible for supporting electronic assemblies for Global Rack and Thermal Edge Products, and supports the design by providing technical guidance to Supply Chain and Material Management in local locations to support sustaining products; works with local and global teams both within Vertiv. The Sustaining Electrical Engineer interacts with and supports Global engineering and product teams. Additionally, this position supports Supply Chain, material managers and Quality teams.**Responsibilities**:- Supports existing low voltage electrical enclosures (> 240 volts AC)- Supports Failure analysis of Factory issues and supports Global NPD teams (Monterrey & Pilsen)- Sustains engineering of current production Electrical Global Rack and Edge Thermal designs.- Creating and maintain components in the Electrical Assemblies and Bill of Materials.- Collaborates with other groups, including Mech Engineers, system test, customer support, and manufacturing.**Requirements**:- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree- 5 years of experience in a hardware development role.- Proficiency in writing functional requirements and documenting designs.- Experience with Mentor or other schematic capture tools.- Experience with DMM, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools.- Ability to Failure analyze hardware board and system level issues.- Ability to support manufacturing factory issues on Electrical Assemblies.- Experience in design for testability and manufacturability.- Good communication and collaboration skills are necessary.- Effective team member, consistent positive attitude, creativity**About Vertiv****Equal Opportunity Employer
