The Product team leads the transformation of ideas through research, design, development, marketing, and sales, unleashing the transformative power of sound and delivering the best products on the market.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesEngage in early design review activity to influence mechanical design and DFM complianceServes as SME as part of the local manufacturing new product development teamDevelop set based evaluations to verify design/ process options to optimize themAssess critical design & component attributes for use in Final assembly process developmentSupport prototype manufacturing processes, with emphasis on early risk identification & resolutionData collection and analysis of proto build results to drive process and design improvementsNPI Mechanical Liaison/ Manufacturing Engineering (70%/ 30%)Travel required, International and Domestic, up to 15%SkillsExperience in product/ tooling design & development.Ability to develop and utilize APQP tools: PFMEA & CPExperience with various materials & chemistries.Experience in CAD (NX and/ or SolidWorks).Preferred final assembly experience in consumer electronics, automotive, or medical industries.Basic knowledge on welding, heat staking, ultrasonic, and other related Mfg assembly processes.Understanding of adhesive properties and applications.Must be able to work collaboratively with local and remote design and manufacturing teams.Must have strong written and verbal communication skillsTraining in structured problem-solving tools: 5-Why, 8-DEducation RequirementsBachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical or Electromechanical)Fluent in both Spanish and English (highly technical discussions)Professional Work Experience RequirementsAt least 5 years working in design/manufacturing with responsibility for mechanical assembly Experience must include new product introduction & new process development activitiesOur goal is to create an atmosphere where every candidate feels supported and empowered in the interviewing process.
