.TasksThe mechanical engineer will work on product development for Telematics Modules, supporting activities in design, integration, verification and/or validation, and industrialization of mechanical design for Continental products, based on customer specifications (external or internal) in several Project Life stages. Provides technical support for the client, and projects in production. Mechanical engineer must be able to collaborate on the deliverables related to mechanical design of the products in Telematics area. May perform disciplinary technical leadership in project development supervised by a more experience engineer.**Core Responsibilities**:- Lead and support the mechanical development of telematics modules.- Complete mechanical deliverables for the project i.E. (Design reviews, drawings, DFMEA, etc.) with supervision.- Create and release mechanical product and component specifications with supervision.- Follow up on the deliverables and product development process specified for the project.- Provides solutions to challenges presented during product development and production in a team based structure.- Manufacturing support.- Testing support.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's. in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering.- Experience: 0-3 years of experience on ME design/development- Business Fluent in English 80%.- Basic on product development (PLC), supporting product development phases, sample development, design, product validation, etc.- Basic on design of plastic components, assemblies, and sheet metal parts for the automotive industry.- Basic knowledge on GD&T on the development of component specifications.- Proficient on creation of components, assemblies, and drawings in CAD (CATIA V5 preferred).- Basic thermal management knowledge.- (automotive industry preferred).- Availability for traveling worldwide.- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.**Preferable**:- Structured problem solving skills (8D, 5 why, Ishikawa diagrams).About usContinental develops pioneering technologies and services for sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods.
