Our people are passionate and qualified; by joining BRP, you will evolve at the heart of an experienced team that will welcome you with open arms.-**GENERAL SUMMARY**:In his role the Mechanical Engineering Coordinator must ensure all the time Leadership and Teamwork behaviors with stakeholders.Focused in Safety design guidelines, for equipment, tooling, poka yoke orientation & methods, to deliver the production volume in a SAFETLY manner all the time, with the highest quality standard and at the lowest cost for the manufacturing process.**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Coordinate the activities of the Mechanical Engineers for operations and Projects development, such of: New Equipment / Tooling Design and introduction, Poka Yoke and Testing devices- HSE activities in terms of process and equipment performance (Safety Risk assessments)- Resolve quality issues with problems solving strategy (PSP, DMAIC, Workshop)- Lead the activities of the Engineering department in terms of: Health and Safety initiatives, ISO 9000, PFMEA, BSC objectives- Coordinate and Develop the Engineering team performance as per the Success Factors Objectives- Responsible to coordinate the activities in relation with Industrial Engineering for New projects introduction (NPD strategies)- Implement short- and long-term improvements on HSE, PPQ, Process Efficiency, Costs.- Enforce all BRP policies and administer disciplinary action when required.- Show leadership and commitment to establish, maintain and improve the Quality management system.- Promote the continuous improvement and the customer focus.- Support the existing operations and products in terms of methods, tooling and equipment while developing a lean manufacturing & customer service culture within his team- Elaborate & control the Department budget in terms of operations expenses (OPEX) and equipment & tooling acquisition (CAPEX) with strong focus on asset management best practices- Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by his superior
