.Country: MexicoLocation: Monterrey Technology HubMechanical EngineerAbout this role:The Mechanical Engineer position is a critical position, and the selected individual will play a key role in the following areas of product development: support HVAC package equipment development, secure product requirement compliance and agency certification, conduct qualification plans for refrigeration systems and components.He or she will actively participate in the New Product Development process applying state-of-art design and simulation tools to document and optimize refrigeration and fluid in HVAC systems, review designs for compliance with product agency regulation, verification plans.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for a sub-project of new product development program or the entire smaller scope new product development programSupport and document in heat transfer, thermodynamics, fan systems, and thermal management system analysis in the development of next generation high efficiency and environmentally friendly HVAC&R and electronic control systemsDevelop and coordinate engineering documents and releaseProvide daily direction to supporting Designers & TechniciansPrepare presentations for component qualification review boards including demonstrating the use of Quality System deployment toolsProvide reliability analysis of components and systemsCollaborate with team members from Marketing, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing EngineeringDocument process improvements as part of standard engineering work.Identification of reliable and cost-effective purchased components required for new product development projectsExecute test and qualification for systems, sub-systems, and components. Review test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modify or adjust equipment to meet specificationsConduct refrigeration and thermodynamics mathematic simulation over HVAC systems.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering2+ years of experience in HVAC applications or refrigeration based productsPreferred Qualifications:Experience or familiarity with various HVAC applicationsHands-on experience working in an Engineering design environmentDemonstrated system design thinking skills and creative new product design skillsExperience in the specification, design, development, and manufacture of products in the HVAC, refrigeration, compression or aligned industries is ideal. Previous relevant products can be both residential and/or commercial air conditioners (air cooled or water cooled)Technical knowledge of refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems, structural analysis & electronic control systemsExperience with vapor-compression refrigeration or power generation systems including related components: heat exchangers and compression technologies
