About the role The Mechanical Engineer position is critical, and the selected individual will play a key role in product development, supporting HVAC package equipment development, securing product requirement compliance and agency certification, and conducting qualification plans for refrigeration systems and components.

He or she will actively participate in the New Product Development process, applying state-of-the-art design and simulation tools to document and optimize refrigeration and fluid systems in HVAC, reviewing designs for compliance with product agency regulations and verification plans.

Key Responsibilities: Responsible for a sub-project of a new product development program or the entire smaller scope new product development program. Develop and coordinate engineering documents and releases. Provide reliability analysis of components and systems. Identify reliable and cost-effective purchased components required for new product development projects. Execute tests and qualifications for systems, sub-systems, and components. Review test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications. Requirements As a minimum, you must have:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. 2-4 years of experience in HVAC applications or refrigeration-based products. Working knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods. Demonstrated system design thinking skills and creative new product design skills. Working knowledge of industry test and safety standards. Advanced English. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or familiarity with various HVAC applications. Hands-on experience working in an Engineering design environment. Knowledge of UL/ANSI/AHRI standards is a plus. Technical knowledge of refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems, structural analysis & electronic control systems. Experience in continual process improvement. Soft skills Interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an engineering design team. Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while managing multiple priorities. Ambitious self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced design environment. KEY PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES AND SKILLS Knowledge of model development software tools like Ansys/Fluent is a strong differentiator.
