About the role The Mechanical Engineer position is critical, and the selected individual will play a key role in product development, including support for HVAC package equipment development, ensuring product requirement compliance and agency certification, and conducting qualification plans for refrigeration systems and components.
The candidate will actively participate in the New Product Development process, applying state-of-the-art design and simulation tools to document and optimize refrigeration and fluid in HVAC systems, reviewing designs for compliance with product agency regulations and verification plans.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for a sub-project of new product development or the entire smaller scope new product development programDevelop and coordinate engineering documents and releaseProvide reliability analysis of components and systemsIdentify reliable and cost-effective purchased components required for new product development projectsExecute tests and qualifications for systems, sub-systems, and components.
Review test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modify or adjust equipment to meet specificationsRequirements We are looking for people who are Mechanical - Product Engineer (NPD).

As a minimum, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent2-4 years of experience in HVAC applications or refrigeration-based productsWorking knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methodsDemonstrated system design thinking skills and creative new product design skillsWorking knowledge of industry test and safety standardsAdvanced English proficiencyPreferred Qualifications: Experience or familiarity with various HVAC applicationsHands-on experience working in an Engineering design environmentKnowledge of UL/ANSI/AHRI standards is a plusTechnical knowledge of refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems, structural analysis & electronic control systemsExperience in continual process improvementSoft skills: Interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an engineering design teamHighly organized with strong attention to detail while managing multiple prioritiesAmbitious self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced design environmentKEY PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES AND SKILLS: Knowledge of model development software tools like Ansys/Fluent is a strong differentiatorBenefits: We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all of our employees and enhancing our programs when necessary.
